Francine PalmerWhat type of Committees would you like to have here in Danforth...some are obvious (architectual review, finance, violation review, landscaping/grounds, modification, neighborhood events, communications, hospitality & welcome, etc) but what is most important to you AND what one would you like to serve on if interested??

Our next meeting will be a planning meeting in which we will cover this topic so we can get the ball rolling in this area and begin to develope such committees.

I would also like to turn over the Neighborhood Watch Program to someone who is truly interested...most of the groundwork has been completed and just needs some updating....a meeting is currently due so this person could jump right in....Please let me know if you are interested and I will share all info with you.

Thanks

Debbie WrightA trash clean-up committee, like adopt a road, but adopt a community. Maybe one committee for each of the 3 neighborhoods.
Francine PalmerAn Architectural Committee is more than likely going to be one of the most needed, desired and required committees in our community to get up and running in a timely manner in order to approach, review and decide upon requests both new and outstanding.

If you are interested in serving in this capacity on this type committee please indicate by either responding here or to my email directly: francine@swfla.rr.com

Thanks!

KellyI think a social commitee would be great. We need to have organized events to meet our neighbors. I would love to help organize family events. You can count on me to help. Kelly 768-3193
M. TaylorThanks Kelly, glad to hear you want to help. A limited number of people volunteering a small amount of time will keep our neighborhood a great place to live.

An Architectural Review Committee will be very necessary to review requests by homeowners to determine if community guidlines are being followed. A minimum of 3 people would need to be on this committee.

A Grounds Committee could take care of any common area issues with regard to aesthetics, identifying and pointing out deficiences with the landscaping contractor, determining areas that need repair or new work, and organizing neighborhood clean-up/trash pick-up events. A few more volunteers here would be great. Possibly they could determine awards for yard of the month, or best holiday decorations.

A social committee could organize events for new neighbors, for the kids on holidays, along with pool parties or other activities. The scope of this committee would have to be derived from a neighborhood consensus.
